Below is an email received 27 Dec 2007 from Cole Waite regarding possible errors in my Waite family file.

This reference is taken from an old post of, Mine. Sue Langley, Most uncomfortably pointed out to, Me that it is very unlikely that John would be born in 1790 and then, Marry a widow with possibly 2 girls. then have 2 girls and a son and die before he was 20. I would excise everything after his birth date as I now do not believe he is the one that Married Polly who would be over 25 years older than him as a 12 yo boy. Never happen!

She was born 1785 in Sand Lake, Rensselaer Co., NY, & died 11, May 1868 in W. Stephentown, Rensselaer Co., NY.  Child of JOHN WAITE & MARY COON is: 22. i. JOHN9 WAITE, JR., b. Unknown; d. Unknown.

Then you could add the following if you are so inclined for 17. Gardner
Son of Rufus Wait & Eunice Hall; had son R. G. of Westfield, NY. [Wait Family of RI, p. 39] Harton, Jackson Co., MI. Had as son R. G. Wait, Westfield, NY.
